Chiaroscuro

 

The mangrove is a changing landscape shaped by the tidal cycle. The water reflects intense flashes of light. The powerful light of the Emirates contrasts with the shade beneath the mangroves, creating a chiaroscuro landscape. The sky is often white, reflecting the intense, almost blinding light characteristic of this region.
